DAY 1 / DEPARTURE
Depart USA to the Czech Republic. Your flight includes
meals, drinks,
and in-flight entertainment for your journey.
DAY 2 / PRAGUE
Arrive and transfer to you hotel in Prague, capital of
the Czech
Republic. This beautiful city of a hundred spires
welcomes you. It is
the home town of John Hus. The balance of the day is at
leisure.
DAY 3 / PRAGUE
A morning sightseeing tour of Prague includes a visit to
the Royal
Castle at Hradcany, former residence of the Bohemian
kings. Enjoy
magnificent views of the city and Charles Bridge below.
View St. Vitus
Cathedral and St. George’s Basilica and walk the Golden
Lane. Continue
to Charles Bridge, the Jewish Ghetto and the Old Town
Square with its
famous Astronomical Clock. Afternoon at leisure or enjoy
an optional
cruise on the Vltava River.
DAY 4 / PRAGUE / BERLIN
After breakfast you will travel via Dresden on the Elbe
River enroute
to Berlin. You will have a brief orientation tour
enroute to your hotel.
DAY 5 / BERLIN
Morning sightseeing includes the Reichstag, which once
housed the
German Parliament, and Schloss Charlottenburg. View the
Opera, the
Schiller Theater, Brandenburg Gate, the “Wall” and the
Kaiser Wilhelm
Memorial Church. Afternoon is at leisure.
DAY 6 / WITTENBERG /
LEIPZIG
This morning, following breakfast, proceed to
Wittenberg, designated as
“Lutherstadt” (“Luther Town”). It was here that Luther
gained notoriety
by posting his 95 theses to the door of the Castle
Church, thus
sparking the movement that would become the Reformation.
DAY 7 / LEIPZIG / EISENACH
This is Luther country, strongly associated with
Reformation history.
You will visit Leipzig, where Bach served as choirmaster
for 25 years
and is buried at Thomaskirche. Along the way are the
Luther sights in
Eisleben and Erfurt, such as the flamboyant gothic
Cathedral and the
Augustinian Monastery where Luther was ordained.
DAY 8 / EISENACH
After breakfast your day of sightseeing begins with a
visit to the Bach
House, where Johann Sebastian Bach was born, Luther
House which is now
a museum dedicated to the life of Luther, and Wartburg
Castle—where
Luther translated the New Testament into German—an
imposing fortress.
This symbol of German pageantry offers splendid
panoramas of the city.
DAY 9 / EISENACH / MARBURG

FRANKFURT
Eisenach is left behind after breakfast as you begin a
full day of
sightseeing. First is the medieval city of Marburg, famous
for its
magnificent Gothic Cathedral where locals often dress in
traditional
peasant costume.
DAY 10 / WORMS / FRANKFURT
Today, we embark on a brief Rhine cruise past castles,
vineyards and
charming villages. After-wards, we continue to Worms, one
of Germany’s
oldest cities. Here you will tour the Luther Monument, the
Church of
Our Lady (Liebfraukirche).
DAY 11 / FRANKFURT /
BERNE /
GENEVA
Travel to Geneva via the Rhine Valley. Enjoy a brief
stop in
Switzerland's capital city Berne. Berne is an excellent
example of
preserved Medieval architecture. Sights include the Bern
Cathedral, the
6 KM long shopping arcade, the Houses of Parliament and
the French
Church. Continue on to Geneva which is situated on Lake
Geneva between
the Alps and the Jura Mountains.
DAY 12 / GENEVA
Today's tour includes many sights associated with John
Calvin. Sights
include the St. Peters Church, Maccabee Chapel, Calvin
College, and a
visit to Reformation Monument that pays tribute to
Protestant reformers
including Knox, Farel and Luther. This evening, enjoy a
farewell
dinner.
DAY 13 / HOME
Bid a fond farewell to Europe today as you proceed to
the airport for
your flight home, bringing with you an abundance of
